Ex-US Collegiate stand out, Gina Washington-Greenigde, joins SDI. Coach Gina is a native of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina but now resides in Tunapuna, Trinidad with her family. She began her early soccer development with an "inner city" soccer club called The Ebony City Lil' Pele's where she was marked by her coach as one of the best players to come out of that area. Greenidge went on to play for several clubs throughout the Charleston area (well know for soccer) as well as with the then Nationally ranked high school team Wando HS (Mt. Pleasant, SC). From there, Coach Gina was recruited to play collegiate soccer by the College of Charleston (Charleston, SC) as a centre back. At CofC, Gina played till her junior year as a standout midfielder for the cougars womens soccer team, earning various accolages.

After graduating from college, Coach Gina's love of soccer took her to Charlotte, NC where she had a short stint with the Charlotte Lady Eagles, a semi-pro outfit in the then US Womens Professional league in the early 2000's.

Inspired by her early bearings with the impoversished Lil Pele's, Coach Gina volunteered in several areas where soccer was developing slowly. This set the stage for her coaching career as she saw a need to help develop the game in her area. Coach Gina's love for the game inspired her to join Soccer Development International's staff, especially since she saw a tremendous need for the technical development of players.

Coach Gina brings nearly 22 years of playing experience and 10 years of coaching experience to SDI. She is eager to assist in the growth of female soccer players! Coach Gina is set to lead the T&T leg for SDI as Director of Communications and Female Soccer Development. Coach Gina is married to Alan Greenidge and they have two sons, Ahman 5 and Ayden 11 months.
